Top Snorkeling and Scuba Diving in Corse-du-Sud

Big granitic cliff, canyon, gorgona...many fish.

The top of the shoal is only 6m, so you can see it from the surface. Les aiguilles is a set of three main shoals, linking together as a Cathedral. Abundant sea life, and great walls full of gorgonians. SE of Taravo island (Porto Pollo)

Scandola marine reserve, northwest of porto.

Well conserved wreck all the structures are intact 256° from the Latoniccia isel and 149° from Mortoli point 200m from the shore.

Sunk 3 septembre 1971 when trying to tank water for a drop on a forest fire. The 2 pilots survived. The Wreck is in a good shape; engines are missing. Wreck penetration is possible. Accident report: August 3 1971 : Canadair CL 215 F-ZBBG n°1025 W/O (Pélican 25), Sagone Gulf, Corsica, France. Victims: Patillaud, Lebel J. The aircraft sunk. 200 meter from shore. 8° from the Sagone turm and 273° from the point of triu. Canadair Wreck is also known as Canadair CL-215.

Southeast of Porto Vecchio, just SE of Forana island. The shoal is approx 50m of the Vacca island. La Vacca is also known as Rocher de la vaca.

South-east of Porto Vecchio. Approx 1 mile north of the Toro.

South-east of Porto Vecchio. 700m east of the Toro islets. There is a danger buoy that mark the shoal.

Great rock structure with a lot of red giant gorgonians. Large groupers, including the famous "Edouard" (35/40 kg grouper)! Approx 1.5 mile south of La Vacca islet.

Deep shoal between Toro islands and Le rocher de la vacca. Le Pain de sucre is also known as Pain de Sucre.

Big schools of barracudas !!! Groupers which are very tame and come really close. Between L'île de Cavallo and L'île de Lavezzi Mérouville is also known as Le sec du Pellu.

Incredible reef architecture... really the best of the area. It's the favourite dive of the instructors. Good quantity of fishes as groupers & sars but nothing comparable that Scandola dive. South west of Porto

This is a great place for children dive and first dive experience. Calm and clear water, abundant sea life. Also good for snorkeling and night dives. Just S of Porto Pollo.

Don't forget to dive into the fault to the right. It extends into the mainland and forms a cave some 20m long at whose ene you can make surface. Entrance to the cave is at about -8m. there are some more tunnels and passages under rocks that you can dive through at about -25m. From Porto pass the beach of Ficajola. The site is just behind the tip of the cape.
