Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Hastings Reef - Fish Bowl

The Fish Bowl has multiple dives to access, the Bowl itself is surrounded completely by multiple types of hard and soft corals so good buoyancy is a must to maintain health of the site. The bowl ranges in depth (tidal) of 5 to 8 meters perfect for first time, training, photography, videography, and advanced divers. The entrance to the fish bowl is part of a wall dive that features a variety of marine life including sitings of Tiger Sharks and Manta Rays that rely of the local reef fish for a cleaning. Snorkelling this site is world class for all levels of snorkelers as well. Visitors can anticipate seeing, Hump-headed parrot fish, an occasional black tip reef shark, white tip reef sharks, moray eels, Sweet Lips, Green and Hawksbill Turtles, Schooling Fusilier and Yellowtail Barracuda, great Barracuda, flower cod, Lion Fish, Coral Trout, Nudibranchs, Bat Fish, Red Bass, Blue Green Chromis, and so much more. 55km northeast of Cairns (2 hrs). Entrance to fish bowl via boat, bow and stern moorings. Fish Bowl has exclusive usage rights by Tusa Dive. To enter you must navigate the 3 pinnacles at the entrance and reef access is 2 meters from stern mooring.
