#1 - Curtis P-40 Warhawk
Jr. Lt. Ivan Giorgievich Logutov (21) was conducting a raid to Kirkenes June 17. 1944 when his squadron of twelve were engaged by eight Fw-190. Logutov's plane was however shot down by AA-fire. He landed his plane in Karpbukt and saved his life. He was later captured by german troops. Marked with a buoy, but the buoy is down because of mussels on the rope. Didn't have time to clean it. You fix? Curtis P-40 Warhawk is also known as Fighter.
#2 - Sud America VIII
The wreck of the tugboat 200 ton Sud America VIII is found from 10-20 meters depth. The wreck is broken in two pieces, but in a relatively good condition despite the age and the explosion that must have occurred when she went down. Both the bridge and the chimney can still be seen by the wreck. As the tidal currents in the region are strong, the dive site is exposed to heavy current, and the visibility can from time to time be quite poor. But with the rights conditions the visibility can be very good, especially during the winter. A bit north of Tromso city.
#3 - Labyrint
"Sharkteeth" rock formations covered with kelp. A lot to see and interest for multiple dives.
#4 - Nordmannset
Narrow stony beach btw higher rocks just aside a road tunnel. Surf can be dangerously high sometimes. Kongsfjord Nordmannset is also known as Tunnel.
#5 - Gargogeahcci
Easy access. Slope contour. Usually some flounders and crabs. Occasionally wolffishes
#6 - Gavesluokta
Versatile sealife.. Road from Rustefjelbma gets narrower and "not so well maintained" along the 20km way to the site.
#7 - DS Flint
The bow of the wreck is crushed, but the rear somewhat intact. You can penetrate and see the engines. The rudder and the propeller is suspended in free water at 35 meters depth, as the rear end hangs ove an drop-off. Best dived at high tide. The marine life surrounding the wreck is fantastic. There is usually buoy on the wreck.
