Globe Marine

Globe Marine was founded on May 8, 1982 by Elisabeth Vandercruyssen and Harry Copper , a veteran of Spirotechnique and Underwater Equipment. The name "Globe Marine" was chosen in reference to the site chosen to install the first store. The latter was located at number 9 rue de Stalle in Uccle, not far from the place called “le Globe”. In 1993 Globe Marine set up one of the first PADI diving schools in Brussels . At the same time, the instructors and their students organized themselves to offer supervised dives in the 4 corners of Belgium, in Zeeland and in Egypt. Our diving club was born. Today, Globe Marine displays the PADI 5* IDC label of excellence, which crowns the know-how and investment of its team in the teaching, promotion and development of diving in Belgium. In 2003 , the store rue de Stalle becoming too narrow, our activity was transferred from November 1st to Drogenbos, boulevard de l'Humanité at number 217 . Larger premises allowed us to develop the company. Today, we always offer more diving and nautical articles and more services to our customers. In April 2014 Sabine Cammaert took over the store. Following the devastating fire of November 2, 2014 , Globe Marine moved on November 25 , just a few hundred meters from the old site, to number 249 Boulevard de l'Humanité in Drogenbos. Curious ?
