Varied terrain with big rocks and boulders at the upper slope, before leveling out on flat sand bottom. A lot of fish here. Look for lobsters in the crevices. also keep an eye out for flat fish hiding on the bottom. 

Depending on the current/wind dive north/south through the sound, at the northern part.

Korshamn

Vestre Seli

Various canyons, overhangs down to approx. 20 meters. Then sloping gravel/sand bottom with big boulders. Great kelp and good marine life. 

This is open ocean. Depending on the wind and currents, choose to dive the leeward side of the skerries. All sides pretty shallow for a while before dropping of to 20-30 ++ meters.

Ystesteinen

The wreck went on a reef in 1945. Much of it was salvaged in 1946, but still big pieces can be seen. The dive is more worth it because of the "artificial reef" than the wreck itself. As this is near open sea the viz can be good, depending the sea conditions. There are pieces of the wreck as shallow as 5-6 meters, and the deepest parts are at 35 meters.

The wreck site can be found at the end of the chain of the red navigation buoys.

Eckenheim Shipwreck

The wreck is called Brem there is not much left of the wreck, and you can not enter the wreck.

You have to go by boat, and search for a pole.
I don't know how to get there exactly but if you dive in the water by the pole you only have to swim north over a hill and you see the wreck.

Brem

Åvik harbor dive, lots of things to be found, and you can hunt for fish while diving if you want.

there is a wreck in the harbor, but it is small and instable.

Nato brygga is also known as Nato anlegget.

Nato brygga

Standing on the boat-ramp, turn almost 90 degrees to the right. There is a big, black buoy (more like a can) on the wreck. Can be hard to spot when it's choppy. For an easier spotting of the buoy walk towards the big, private peer on the right. From there you can easily spot it.
It's a long swim on the surface, aprox. 100 meters, preferably use a scooter. 
Follow the line down as there can be a current from the surface down to 20 m. You meet the mast at approx. 20 meter and the deck at about 35. The stern rests at 47 meters and the bow goes up to about 33 meters. 
Wonderful wreck with big open spaces to go into, but use a line if you go in, lots of silt. Propeller and rudder intact, makes for a beautiful photo op :D

The German cargo ship went down in -44, loaded with ammo and concrete and rests in an upright position.

Drive past Flekkefjord and follow the signs for Abelsnes, about 8 km past Flekkefjord. Drive down to the ferry that goes to Abelsøy, park there and unload the equipment.
You can go in the water from the small boat-slip, where the sign says Diving forbidden.
Follow close to the shore until you can swim straight out to the buoy.

Gudrun Wreck

The wreck of Tom B has been broken down in the years after it shipwrecked in 1958. It is now broken in three pieces. 



MS Tom B

Seattle went down in the Korsvikfjorden under the German invasion Weserubung 9. April 1940. The ship was on its way in to Kristiansand when she came under crossfire between the German cruiser Karlsruhe and the norwegian coastal fortress Odderøya, and the Norwegian forces thought this was a vessel that supported the German forces and started to shoot on the vessel with their 150 mm cannons.

There is usually a boy on the wreck, but not always :(
Standing on the pier facing straigh out, the wreck lies between 12 and 10 and roughly 30-40 meters out from the pier.
The plane is broken in four pieces, scattered in a small area. All the pieces are connected with lines so it's easy to swim between them.
Ascent can be done by following the bottom countour towards land, it's sloping upwards.

Drive through the roundabout past the fire station. Drive down to the right towards a big white brick building and down past it on the right. Park next to the big oak-tree, plenty of parking space.

Kjevik Airplane Wreck is also known as Dornier 24.

Kjevik Airplane Wreck

The Argentina stranded on the north side of Merre November 10th 1944, and disappeared into the depths a few days later. The wreck is in several parts in a depth of 28 meters. Only the stern section is still in relatively good condition, and here you can also read the letters ARGENTINA Emden.
