Hamersley Pool

This is a small, protected beach with its own change rooms. Provides an ideal, shallow area for swimming with the reef beginning a few metres from the shore. Recommend diving at high tide as the water is very shallow over the nearby reef at low tide. Plenty of interesting reef formations as well as a variety of fish and resident eagle rays in the sandy areas. One ray is particularly accustomed to humans and can be seen in the swimming area frequently. Just north of the well known Mettam's Pool. Located at the end of Hamersley Street in North Beach.
