Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Satil
This site is great for beginner divers. There are several dive shops that will rent out equipment to any certified diver. It is extremely easy to find the site. There is a buoy tied to the ship and you can leave your car keys and get directions at any of the local shops. This dive site can be dived at any time of day or night (please notify a dive shop and they will notify the authorities) I love this site because it is just really cool and an easy dive.
From Eilat airport: take the road south towards the coral beach reserve. Continue driving about 3 miles south towards the Taba crossing. Take a left into the "Reef" hotel. You can park anywhere in the "Village Beach" parking lot and gear up. Take the walkway to the left of the restaurant entrance right into the water. The dive site is located at a depth of 20 meters. It is a sunken, decommissioned missile boat. Have fun.

I am a Scuba Instructor. I get a teaching permit each year to teach scuba at Blue Springs State Park ($150 annually) I was just informed by the Ranger Station that the park is closed to ALL water activity until March 2007 due to the number of manatees taking refuge in the spring from the cold ocean water. So, if you are planning on diving Blue Springs, make your plans for AFTER March. I will be getting a full refund from the state for my permit.
