The Seiun Maru was a Japanese cargo (approx 30,000 tonnes). It was sunk by the American Navy in 1945. She now lies on her port side in 27m of water.

The Oryoku Maru was a Japanese ship sunk by United States Navy fighter planes during World War II.

Oryoku Maru left Manila on December 13, 1944, with moe than 1620, mostly American, prisoners of war (POWs) packed in the holds. US Navy planes from the USS Hornet attacked the unmarked ship, over the next two days, causing it to sink on December 15. About 280 died of suffocation aboard the ship or were killed or shot in the water as they tried to escape.

The survivors were loaded on the Japanese ship Enoura Maru. The Enoura Maru took a direct hit from a US Navy bomber killing or wounding about 500 men. The survivors were put aboard the Brazil Maru which arrived in Moji, Japan on January 29, 1945. Only 550 of the original 1620 were still alive.

USS New York has been transformed into an artificial reef. The growth of the tourism industry has expanded and Subic Bay has become an upcoming dive vacation location. The New York has become one of the most dived ship wrecks in Asia, given her somewhat shallow depth (18 to 27 meters), ease of access, and proximity to other wrecks and activities. The wreck can be dived by most divers. USS New York, a 8150-ton armored cruiser built at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was commissioned in August 1893. She initially served as flagship of the South Atlantic Squadron, then went to the West Indies before joining the European Squadron in 1895. She was in the North Atlantic Squadron when the Spanish-American War began, and was flagship during the Caribbean campaign that led to the Battle of Santiago on 3 July 1898.

From 1898 to 1916, New York served off Latin America, in Asiatic waters, the eastern Pacific, the Atlantic and off Europe. She was renamed Saratoga in 1911. During the First World War, the cruiser was active in both the Pacific and the Atlantic, and was renamed again in 1917, becoming USS Rochester. She remained in the Atlantic after the war, and operating in the Caribbean area until 1932. Rochester was flagship of the Asiatic Fleet in 1932-33, mainly serving in Chinese waters. Decommissioned for the last time in April 1933, she was laid up at Olongapo, Philippines, until scuttled in December 1941 to avoid the risk of capture by the Japanese. Located in the Olongapo Port area of Subic Bay. position is between Alava pier and end of runway of Subic International Airport. Portmaster clearance required Local requlations require that boats and divemaster be approved.

LST (Landing Ship, Tank) This is one of the large LSTs that litter the floor of Subic Bay. She was scuttled in 1946 in the middle of Subic Bay.

Tagbac Wreck

While undergoing repairs in Santa Cruz on 25 November 1944, Kumano came under aerial attack by aircraft launched by the Ticonderoga. Five torpedoes and four 500 pound bombs struck her, and at 1515 she rolled over and sank in about 31 m (100 ft) of water. source Wikipedia

The wreck lies on it's port side. You can put a flipper on it at 55'. You have to hire a local banca boat to reach the wreck. All the locals can put you on it. It's great dive and you may find a Nikonos camera dropped there in 1972.
