「ドルフィンスイム」というイルカによる癒やし効果を期待するセラピー施設が、ホンジュラスのカリブ海にあった。ここのイルカたちは自然に集まってきたらしく、簡単な柵で仕切られた中にいた。イルカはいつでも自由に出入りできる。心の病がある子どもがやってくると、浅瀬で一緒に泳いだりスキンシップをしたりする。潜水を始めると、一頭のイルカがそばに来て興味を示した。カメラを構えると、私の心の中を読んだかのようにポーズを取った。イルカも人間も、最初はこの海から誕生した。イルカは哺乳類でありながら、陸を捨て海の中へと自分の体を変えて帰って行き、私たち人間は道具を使って地球の環境を変えてきた。海の中に一緒にいると、遠い過去が呼び戻されるような気がして、とても心地よかった。 今尾映子 海中散歩へのボタン
