Great place for a second dive or night dive. Varied terrain which gets gradually shallower as you swim into the bay. Big boulders on sand bottom. Kelp in the shallows. Great spot for smaller fish, crustaceans and other macro life. Start diving at the northern edge of the bay and dive inwards.
Always dive here with a local guide and a buoy to the surface from each diver. This is a very demanding dive, but as well very rewarding when done safely. Fantastic dive site near the famous Moskenesstraumen (malstroem). Great kelp-forrest. You can dive around the islet (best on the south-side), or in the passages between the islet further into the bay, depending on sea conditions. The marine-life here is among the most photogenic and the best in Northern Norway. Diving here we were accompanied by Grey Seal (Halichoerus grypus).
Start diving at either end of the skerrie called Svarven. The wall is completely covered with marine life such a anemones and other soft corals. Depending on the current either follow the wall north-west, or end your dive in the 5 meter deep channel between the skerries. You can enter the channel at both ends. Here kelp is thriving and you may catch glimpses of seal. Small skerries south of the Lofotodden, in the Moskstraumen.
