Northwest of Isla Rancheria

This is a spur and groove reef formation that fringes the shore. I have found nurse sharks in the sand channels between reef spurs. Lobster, octopus and pargo are often caught here. Inside the reef is great snorkeling. From the beach, locate one of two boat channels near the Restaurante Yarisnori. Ask a local for help. Kick out of the channel and turn right or left, following the seaward side of the reef.
