This is a protected marine site, with large jack shoals. W part of Balicasag island, starting just S of the BIDR resort. Fish Sanctuary is also known as Marine Sanctuary.

Black forest is the main attraction of Balicasag island. A nice slope full of small fishes, and deeper, the black forest. Except the black coral, you also can see large schools of silver jacks / surgeon fish, and turtles. SW of Balicasag island. S from the school. Black forest is also known as Northeast slope.

This is a Wall Dive with e cave at 24m. Severa divers can enter it. There is a huge gorgon on the entrance of the cave. Schools of fishes can be seen around.

This dive must be done at dusk. There are plenty of mandarin fishes going out of the reef just before night. Take your time as they are not easy to spot.

This is wall dive with a strong current. The wall goes down to 60m. This is a nice dive with many coral species. Difficult to take pictures...

This is a drift dive along the eastern part of Anda's reef. This dive is great for the numerous Pygmee Seahorses that can be found in gorgons at 20m and lower.

The best snorkeling spot of all. fantastically populated wall from 3 to 30 m. Suitable for beginners. Here you can follow the typical V profile, or perform a more than 2 hours shallow (about 8 m) dive. Beautiful coral landscape. Some big fish. Wide lens area for underwater photographing. Much suitable for beginners. Sometimes wall, sometimes slope. Many nice impressions. Many young fish and plenty naked snails. Boat dive, about 15 min., 2.5 km.

Steep wall is densely populated by corals. MAybe not suitable for beginners, because of the depths and currents. On the other side this spot is full of life. Some turtles. Boat dive, about 8 min., 2 km, similar dive site Virgen East House reef and Virgen-South House reef.

We found plenty of nudies and eligator fish here. Take your time and look for macro life. Sanctuary is in front of Panglao Bluewater Resort. Enter by shore or a small ride from Alona beach. Bluewater Reef is also known as Sanctuary Reef.

There are two jeepney car wreck between 8 and 10m deep. Also look for pygmy seahorses on large gorgonians (mainly near 30m deep). Dive site is just in front of the Bohol Beach Club. Bohol Beach Club is also known as House Reef.

The plateau is 30m deep. In this area, there is always a little bit current. This IS the place to see hammerheads and white-tipped reefsharks (in winter). You may also find Pygmy and Thorny seahorses. NW tip of the island. Shark view point is also known as Hammerhead Point.

A very overfished site, that has no fishlife over 20 cm. Many divecenters dont go there anymore because of the lack of fish. Not a very interesting dive anymore. Pamilacan Island is located 20km S of Alona Beach (about 1h by banca).

Great coral garden with giant table corals (between 5 and 15m). Large fish shoals. Lots of caves and overhangings with sometime White Tip Sharks. S point of Cabilao island South point is also known as Southtip, Shark cave.

Slope covered with seagras and corals, going down to 25m depth, then a plateau at 30m, and another wall deeper. Special species: Hammerheads and white-tipped reefsharks (In winter: December to April), pegasus, pygme seahorses (Hippocampus bargibanti), leaf fish, harlequin ghost pipefish... An outstanding place for underwater photographers ! NW side of Cabilao island, next to Shark view point dive site.

Nice wall with gorgonian sea fans and black corals. Sometime you can see turtles here... If your lucky you will see the school of Big eye jacks and Barracuda in one dive. If the current picke up, you wil see Tunas, Mackerel and lots of snappers. N of Cabilao island, NW of Looc. Fallen tree is also known as Talisay Wall.

Steep wall from 5 to 40m deep. Nice coral structures and cathedral-caves. N of Balicasag island. Divers heaven is also known as Diver's heaven, Heaven, Cathedral.

The surface current can be brutal, but it usually mellows a bit deeper. Fishtraps on the bottom and generally overfished. Allways lots of fishing boats on the site. The site has lots of banded seasnakes, nudis and other critters, that makes the dive worth doing. Snake island is located 10km S of Alona Beach (30min by banca). Cervera Shoal is also known as Snake Island.
