White Star was my first open water dive. My Instructor from Weteachscuba.com and I went at the end of May this year. The water temp was 32 degrees and the visibility was unreal! I would have thought I was in the tropics, the visibility was so good. There is no changing area and the cost is $15 a day to dive. There is a reasonable amount of things to look at. I only saw one fish the whole time I was in the water.

We went to France Park with Weteachscuba.com Instructors for our certification dives. It was great! There is a vast amount of animal life in this quarry. From the awesome Paddle fish to little tiny fish. There was always something to look at. When we weren't diving, there were plenty of trails to walk or just enjoy the campfire. The staff was great and friendly. You can drive about 150 feet or so from the shore to drop off your gear. It costs us $10 a day to dive plus the $2 gate fee. I think air refills were $8. Great place to dive. I will be going back soon!
