Easy shore entry, great vis (by northwest standards), and good facilities. We were there on Nov 17 and saw flounder, cabezon, small lings, 3 different kinds of crabs, sea stars, etc. Stinky Monkey award to the open water class that was there that day. They swam into everything including other divers, turned the vis into less than a foot, and mangled plant life growing on the pilings.

You can park near the water and its easy to get in the water, but the surface swim is difficult unless you're in shape especially if its windy and choppy like the day when we were there (mid - October). The buoy is not tied to the wreck, you have to go deeper to find it. The wreck is mostly disintegrated. Vis was 25 ft. There was some ratfish, perch, kelp, crabs and barnacles. The only thing that was abundant was the barnacles. I don't recommend this sight and won't go back. It would be good for an open water class due to the shallowness of the first 200 yards and rocky bottom.

I've dove the site two times. By the coast guard tower, it drops off to 50 ft at high tide. There are sea bass, greenling, a few lingcod, perch, cabezon, etc. I've never seen the vis more than 8'. Definitely better to dive at slack, or you could end up a half mile from where you entered. Exiting water is hardest part. The rocks are slippery and steep, especially with your gear on.
