I took all my certifications here, it's a nice dive but can get busy. I've dove here in the spring, summer and fall and saw plenty of marine life all 3 seasons. Tons of flounder and skate. The right cove is easier to access and has no surface chop or current. The wall of the left has plenty of crabs, small fish and starfish, the middle is a sandy bottom where tons of flounder are. The right side of the cove is a lot like the left with a rocky bottom and a wall teaming with life. visibility is great unless there's a class (which will kick up the bottom) or after a storm visibility drops to zero. Water's nice and it's an easy place to get to, always a fun dive.

Spent a day diving Back beach in early September. The weather was amazing, low 80's with plenty of sunshine. The water was a warm 65 degrees with no surface chop and no current. We dove the left side and saw plenty of lobster, small schools of fish, crabs and some flounder. The plant life was incredibly healthy and the visibility was exceptional. I would definitely return here but bring a few extra tanks and do multiple dive. The only downside was the amount of divers in the water and the serious limits with parking. It would be an interesting night dive.
