The Oregon coast is a spectacular blend of ocean, coves, inlets, forests, and mountains - having long been a popular destination point for divers of all abilities. We have included here some well-known sites for your underwater pleasure - from Southern Oregon all the way North to Tillamook Bay. Oregon

Divers will travel far and wide to find the best diving. But those who live in the United States have plenty of great diving on their doorstep as well, with plentiful access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. From warm-water reefs to temperate seas, here are some of the top places to scuba dive in the United States.

United States

Located in the commercial fishing area of Garibaldi, the Lumber Dock is a great place for finding crabs.  Generally the area is protected from boaters, but a dive flag is recommended.  An interesting note: there is no law in Oregon that says a boat must stay away from a dive flag.  This is a very dangerous situation.  Stop by Doug's Diving (in the background of the second entrance photo below) and sign their petition for a minimum safe boating distance to divers.

From Portland, take Highway 26 West to Highway 6 West into Tillamook on the coast.  Drive North 9.9 miles into the Heart of Garibaldi, and turn left onto 7th Street as shown below.
