The "Peltastis" sank in 1968 and is known locally as the "GRK"(the Greek). The shipwreck is in excellent condition and still in one piece. She lies in an upright position with the tip of the foremast only 7 meters underwater. The wreck is 60 meters in length, lying in a maximum depth of 32 meters. More experienced divers can pass through the command bridge and cargo holds. The foredeck starts at a depth of +/- 18m andwhen moving towards the aft deck, depth increases to +/- 25m. The prop lies in the sand at 32 meters. There are large schools of fish present, including an abundance of scorpion fish on the wreck. Boat dives to the wreck are provided by a dive center; boat ride is approximately 10 minutes. Peltastis Wreck is also known as Peltastis, The Greek, ex ALSTERPARK.

TETI was built in 1883 in Hoboken-USA by John Cockerill Shipyard. She was 72m long, 8m wide with 963 BRT. On the 23rd May 1930 she hit the island of Mali Barjak with a cargo of paving stones due to a navigation mistake. The entire bow is smashed by the waves but the stern is still intact and offers great photo opportunities. The wreck of the K.u.K. Austro-Hungarian Destroyer STREITER. Built in 1905/06 in Trieste; 115t, 46m long, 4.6 m wide, 21-man crew. On 04/16/1918 the steamer PETKA collided with S.M.S. STREITER and sank him off Lovran. The wreck is very deep, with poor visibility, lots of fishing nets and mud sunk. Penetration into the wreck seems impossible. Due to the construction and age, strong symptoms of decay. S.M.S. STREITER Wreck is also known as S.M.S. Zerstörer Streiter.

Peljesac peninsula

The wreck is under Croatian protection and can only be dived by a diving base with permission. It is an interesting dive. The german "TORPEDO-SCHNELLBOOT S-57" was build 1940 at the Lürssen-Vegeack Shipyard, Germany. She was 30m long and 3,5m wide. In the early morning of the 19th ausgust 1944 she was going in a convoy of 5 german Schnellboote, when they were suddenly ambushed by 3 british MTBs (motor torpedo boats). Only S-57 was hit and caught fire. The Germans tried to beach the ship on the island of Peljesac, but failed, so they sank her using explosives. Today the wreck is lying on sandy ground with it´s bow heading to the beach. Due to the structure of this class of ship the corrosion is advanced. You can still find a 20mm flak on deck and the torpedos, now fixed with tension belts to the ship´s structure. -GS, Big Blue Dive Academy- With Dive center Žuljana from Dragan Lopin in the small village Žuljana.
