South Ari Dive Center is a newly-established PADI Dive Center on Dhangethi Island. 

Marine protected coral shallows or challenging pinnacles, steep walls and channels- South Ari Atoll has it all. 2 tank dive trips set off each morning to dive sites between 10 and 40 minutes away. 

The dive team offers personalized dive itineraries, and group sizes are kept to a maximum of 3 divers. A full range of PADI recreational training is available, including Project AWARE specialties. 

South Ari Dive plan to become the largest database for whale sharks and manta rays in South Ari Atoll by 2035.  The new dive center has invested in state of the art equipment, an 18 person air conditioned meeting room, digital classroom and filling station. 

A resident marine biologist holds bi-weekly presentations; one on Maldivian marine life and the other to share progress on the whale shark and manta program. 

Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa is located in the beautiful and versatile South Ari Atoll and can be reached by seaplane approximately 20 minutes from the airport. It is one of the few real divers islands with its beautiful house reef, nearby dive sites and whale shark national park.

Our PADI 5-Star dive center offers various PADI courses. Beginners can gain their first Discover Scuba Diving experience on the house reef.

For divers who want to explore independently and at their own pace, the house reef is open throughout the day and for night dives.

There are around 50 beautiful dive sites nearby. Manta rays and Whale Shark sightings are possible all year round, and a wide variety of marine life that only very few places in the world can offer.

The Dhigurah channel is located between the two local islands, Dangethi and Dhigurah and can be reached by Dhoni in 30 min from Vilamendhoo.

This channel offers many breathtaking Thilas like 7th heaven, Lucky Hell, Reethi Thila or Kuda Rah Thila, which is often considered one of the best dive sites in the Maldives.

Divers seeking adventures can try diving with an underwater scooter (DPV). It is EASY to handle and lots of FUN.
