Dived right side, Cement Mixer at 20m.
Colorful Wall.  No big fish but presence of smaller ones.  Lot of sponges, Shells,Sea Urchins, Seastars, biggest Doris Dalmatian I ever saw. Have the feeling it must be good at night.
Will gladly dive it again.

Quite similar as Right Side : Colorful Wall, lot of Netune's lace. No big fish but presence of smaller ones. Lot of sponges, Shells,Sea Urchins, Seastars, biggest Doris Dalmatian I ever saw. Have the feeling it must be good at night.

Omprogialos Beach

Sea bottom is a steep sandy (muck) slope starting from 3m and going down to more than 40m. The slope itself can be boring unless you are into macro life (tiny crabs, shrimps, nudibranches etc). It is a heaven (for local standards) for macro photography. Beware: patience, good eyes and a bit of knowledge about what you are looking for are essential. 
Also essential are good diving skills as the slope is quite steep and any mistake can stir up tones of sand ruining visibility.
Somewhat north from the beach and at exactly 40m lies the wreck of a Messerschmitt BF 109 from WW2. The plane lies upside down and only the back half is visible. A bit further up the slope (~30m) one of the wings with a gun still attached can be seen.  
The wreck is a demanding dive (40m deep, low visibility and hard to find) and hence to be enjoyed safely divers need appropriate planing and training (nitrox, deco gas etc). 
For divers interested in macro life and photography the shallower parts (5-20m) are very good too. 

Access is very easy by car. Exit the highway at the Kalami exit and after ~200m take a sharp left turn to a small road leading downhill to the sea. The best entry point is a small sandy beach just before where the road turns left again uphill and away from the sea.

Maximum depth of 17m is from a report, I found 14m but local legend says it's 200m deep and there are treasures on the bottom :D

Fresh water, gets warmer than sea in summertime.  Thermocline.

Eels spotted shallow when it's dark, turle, crabs, koï carps, small sand and open water fish, shrimps, snails,...
Nice long green plants "forest" all around the deeper area.

Nothing really special if you're used to dive in lakes but interesting for a change from the sea (when it's too rough for example).

I've never seen any other diver or snorkeller.
Lake used for swimming and pedal boats.

Daylight zone cave. Daylight coming in throw an opening in the main hall. Locall guide needed.



Cathedral

Three caves with fresh water mix with salt water. At the one lives one seal... maybe you will find it.

Chania. During summer periods all local dive centers visit that place by boat

Fokia's cave

Two dives can be done here, one on the North side and one on the South. South side is a bit more interesting with a nice wall down to 25 meters. Lobsters and nudibranchs can be seen here frequently. 


Public road access with a parking spot just outside "Vlamis Villas" house. Then 20 meters walk to a cemented shore/jetty.
