Easy entry from the dive shop with exits all around the island making for a nice dive along the reef surrounding Erinyadu island. From other places around the island easy entries can be made with the dive shop bringing your gear to the entry place of your choice. The shop took us in Apr 2007 for three dives to complete the island. Euro divers dive shop also has Nitrox available. Erinyadu Island lies in the North Male Atoll a easy 40 Min speed boat ride north of the Male International Airport. Erinyadu resort is the only resort on the island and Euro Divers is the dive shop.

The reef crest at the corner slopes gently down to at a plateau at 10 metres with some bommies to shelter behind and catch your breath before heading out into the stream. Or you can use it at the end of your dive to look at Shrimp-goby holes in the sand or Blennies sticking their heads out of vacant worm tubes. The reef slope on the barrier side is a steep drop to the sandy shelf at around 30 or 40 metres. White-tip reef sharks will either be darting back and forth in strong currents or basking on the bottom when the flow is drab. When there is a reasonable current flowing, Eagle rays and Grey reef-sharks like to casually flex a bit of muscle. Around the corner in the channel, the reef slope is a wall grooved with overhangs fringed with the lacework of sea fans and adorned with purple, yellow, orange and pink spiky shrublets of soft coral. "Redfish" - Squirrelfish, Bigeyes and Soldierfish - will goggle as you drift by. Other denizens of the overhangs are Sweetlips and Morays. If you can manage, use a torch to look for Boxer cleaner-shrimp in the crevices. Prisca Corner is formed where the southern Asdhoo channel reef meets the atoll barrier. It's a fun ride in a strong current.

Fesdu wreck is a 30m long fishing boat, sitting on a sand slope alongside a small thila. Sealife is abundant: soft corals, glassfish, moray eels, groupers... 1km SW of Fesdu Resort island on the north side of Viligili Falhu. Access time by boat: Fesdu 15min., Maayafushi 30min.

That's one of the area dive sites where you can meet manta rays (usually from december to april). Don't miss the caves and overhangs between 20m and 30m. 1,5km S of Himendhoo Faru. Boat time: 50min from Fesdu or Moofushi. Himendhoo Thila is also known as E Mas Thila.

The nearly round thila rising up from more than 30 meter (100 ft), up to 7 meter (22 ft) depth. You if you look in the blue water you can see eagle rays, manta rays, or grey reef sharks. At the reef you will find a lot of school fish, like snapper, fusilier or a turtle. On one side of the thila is in a depth of 20 meter (65 ft) a little canyon. Sometimes the canyon is full of glass fish. Take care on your buoyancy, at the ground of the canyon are fire fish, dragon head, and if your are lucky a stone fish. The canyon is ending in a small cave, where you can swim through on to the top of the thila. Don´t forget a buoy your dive will end in the blue water. At the surface the dhoni crew will find a buoy easier than an diver. Donfan Thila is located close to Dhonfanu Island, in the Maldives Baa Atoll.

Small Fishing boat sunk stern down at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, Bow is at about 20m with the stern about 30m, located three quarters of the way along the house reef before the reef turns into the channel of Kuredu Express. Be aware not to go past marker buoys to east of wreck as the current picks up quite strongly and the next stop is Sri Lanka. North of Faadhippolhu Atoll

Wreck of a 40m long frighter, sunk in the late 80s.

This reef starts from 2-3 meters and drops to 10 meters gradually. After 10 meters most of the reef drops vertically down to 25-30 meters. Outside of Manta season this is still a very attractive site with a high concentration and range of life. Along the reef top you can always find the moray, scorpion fish, octopus and large napoleon wrasse., red toothed triggerfish sometime seem to obstruct the view of the surface due to the high numbers present on this reef. Madivaru (Manta point) is also known as Mantapoint, Ukhuruelli Manta point.

A beautiful dive site with several pinnacles or rocks filled with animal life and all kinds of corals. Soft corals and big sea fans are outstanding. Beautiful ending at the top of the thila. Quite a difficult dive site in terms of orientation. Nassimo Thila is also known as Paradise Rock.

One of the most uniquely shaped Thilas in the North Male Atoll and it comprises three large coral heads. If the current allows, divers can zigzag from one coral head to the other while observing the fish life, which includes Eagle Rays, Jacks, Tuna, Napoleon Wrasse and Bannerfish. Look for school of barracuda. If enough air swim across and finish the dive at thila filled with anemones Very hard to find.
