A the southern entry of the cavern, there is a small, bronze statue of a dolphin. There are several tunnels in the area, the main one starts at the Dolphin. There is another on on the E side (deeper and darker) and a small one to the W. E part of Meda Petita. Dolphin's cave is also known as El Dofí, Tunels del Dofi.

There is an amusing little cave and a strange hole where you enter at 10m deep and output at 2m, with nice ray lights coming from the surface. You can dive to the cape, with a small wall with gorgonians. This is not the best dive, but ok for a second dive. From Estartit harbour, goes by boat to the north. Punta Salinas is the first cape.

Big rocks with lot of groupers. Great wall between 20m and 40m (sandy floor) with large gorgonians and lobsters. There is a little cave at 45m. NNE of Meda Gran, NE of Punta de Coetera Pedra de Deu is also known as Piedra del Deu.

This is a tipical Mediteranean dive, with both sandy and sea grass floor. It a good site to see Eagle-rays, but also groupers, flat fishs, etc. This small rock is located between Meda Petita and Tascons rocks, S of Medes Islands.

One of the best dive, cos of the huge groupers that live here. If you don't breath too much, you can try to turn around the Carall Bernat rock, and go to 35-40m and see some pelagic fishs and some rays. SE of Meda Petita, after Tascons rocks. Carall Bernat is also known as Islote Mogote Bernat, Cavall Bernat.

You can start by the Bau de Cap Falco shaol. Insted of going south, go northeast, cross the sandy channel and dive around the large reef named la isla bonita. There are a lot of tiny lobstars in the reef cracks... Just 100m northeast of the Bau de Cap Falco dive site.

This is a great dive site. A very nice drop off, full of red gorgonians; groupers, octopuses, fish shoals... probably one of the best dive site of the area. 5 nautical miles east of Roses harbour. Cap de Norfeo is just after the Punta de la Creu. Cap Norfeo Sud is also known as Cap Norfeu.

This is a DEEP dive for experienced divers only! The wall of El Gat starts by a white gorgonian field, then a red gorgonian field down to 55 meters deep. You can end your dive around El Gat, or to the Cap Norfeu's pool. Just on the east side of the rock named El Gat, because of its two cat ears. This is the eastern side of the dive site named Cap Norfeu. El Gat is also known as The cat, Le chat, El gato.

Groupers, morrays, octopuses, sea slugs... Just 0.45 nautical miles before the Cap de Norfeo. There are two marine buoys.

Very nice shoal. The top is at 4 m deep, the bottom of the shoal is approx 36 m. There is a drop off on the southwest side. Some lobsters in the cracks and holes, and a lot of octopuses. Approx 3 nautical miles east of Roses, just after the Punta de Falconera. There is a mooring buoy marking the shoal. Bau de Cap Falco is also known as Falco's bay.

East of Puerto de la selva, just east from the lighthouse.

Nice dive site for beginners. Plenty of life. Good visibility. North from Estartit, out of the Medes marine reserve El Negre de Fallaguer is also known as Negre de Falaguer.

Boulders, cracks, red corals, octopus... North of Estartit; out of the marine reserve.

Start from Tascon Petit and go to the south. There are several rocks at approx 30-35m deep covered by red gorgonians. South of Tascon Petit, at 30m deep Escrivana is also known as Estribania.

Massa d'ors is also known as Cadaques.

This dive site has two shoals rising at 6m from the surface. Small walls with cracks and crevices with lobsters, red corals, morays... North of Estartit (Approx 15 min by boat). The dive site is 100m west of the Negre de Fallaguer. This is a common dive site when the north wind (tramontane) blows. Canyones de Fallaguer is also known as Caniones de Falaguer.

Easy dive spot. With a lot a tipical mediterranean sealife. Ideal for night dive. Monkfish in early springtime. Goods "Chiringuitos" to have a meal or a post-dive beer ! From the Tossa de Mar village center, go north along the coast, park near the end of the road. Walk to the Mar Menuda Dive Center. Dive spot is just in front of! Mar Menuda is also known as Tossa de mar.

The SUBAQUATIC Parc project is a response to the alarming state of degradation of flora and fauna of our coasts. In 1990 the group of divers from the Societat d'Exploracions Submarines (SES) initiated the steps for authorizing the establishment of an underwater park in the pier of the port of Tarragona. The project was approved and, finally, was officially opened on 3 June 1995. Good access to area dive club SES has an access ramp and stairs, showers and toilets.

Ideal for buoyancy training... The beautiful mountains and calles (Underwater streets) make this place one of the nicest of the Costa Brava.

La Pilona is a former loading platform of de former iron mines of Malgrat de Mar Spain. The platform is collapsed, but the pilon is stil standing. On the bottom of the see there is a lot of concrete and iron, which is a nice base of many little fishes and black sea urchins. You can reach it by a 400 meter swim from the shore or pedalo (for hire on the beach). A lot of children and people use the pilon for snorkeling and diving. The only problem is the frequent pasing (every half hour) of the Dofi Jet line boat. La Pilona is also known as La Pilona Malgrat.

Take care of the nets if you dive the Saint Prosper. In the middle of Roses bay. Saint Prosper Wreck is also known as El gancho.

Beware of boat traffic! The big shoal is good, there is a drop off on the northeast side, and 3 tunnels between the two main part of the shoal. Like many other dive sites, octopuses, groupers and morrays. 3 nautical miles east of Roses, just 0.45 miles northeast of Punta de Falconera. There are two mooring buoys, the best is the southernmost one.

The dive is all around the small island. There are some tiny lobsters in the walls. Another option is to go ESE (about 75m) to the Roca del Mas Ferrer (40m). North of Meda Gran. El Medellot is also known as Islote el Megallot.

Very quite dive site; protected from the swell by the rock. The dive starts from the little creak formed by the rock; depth here is only 8m, on a gravel seabed with a lot of marine species (octopus, sepias...). The dive is around and inside the rock! You can dive around the rock where a wall running down to 40m deep is waiting for you with gorgonians. Water is very clear. You can cross the rock underwatr, the large crack is really great; just like if you can fly! Watch your dive time/depth, you can easily forget your parameters and have deco. On the northern coast from L'Estartit harbour. La pedrosa is around a small rock close to the shore; you can't miss it!

Between the rocks you will find beautiful prairies of Posidonia Oceanica. In this bay are known at least 6 ancient wrecks. The more famous, Culip IV (70-80 dC) and Culip VI (XIII Century) were completely excaed and removed, but you can see the holes of the archaeological excavation. Cala Culip is the first bay of the northern shore of Cap de Creus. You can start your dive by boat, from the center of the bottom coast of the bay, or from the rocks below the road to the phare.

A rock barrier 20 meter deap. Very close to Barcelona. Cool dive full of marine life dive: shellfish, grouper, moray, nudibranch, ray, conger eel,red scorpion, cardinalfish, etc... Lots of other similar diving spots in the area from the same harbour: El Negre, El Pessebre, El Vell, Els Congres, etc... Park in the Mataro harbour and get to one of the two Dive Center. El negre is also known as El Pessebre, L'Arbre.

This is one of the most beautifull wall of Medes Islands. Just a the begining of the dive, between rocks at 21m deep, there are a lot of octopus. Search for them ! At the bottom of the wall, 50 m deep!, there is a large tunnel with conger eels, lobsters and european lobster (homard). An outstanding wall dive !!! NE of Meda Gran, between Punta de Coetera and Punta de la Galeta. Pota del Llop is also known as Punta del Llop, Punta de la Pota del Llop.

Nice dive a few minutes from l'Estartit. Start on the Northwest side of the pinnacle where you can go down to about 30m. Large groupers, groakes, breams, etc, all quite big since the Médes Islands are a wildlife reserve and fishing ist forbidden. You can dive around the rock in about 30min. Careful, currents can be changing depending on which side of the rock you are.

Good second day dive. Lot of rocks with all tiny fauna, and some sandy floor around rocks. NNO of Meda Gran El Salpatxot is also known as Salpatxot.

Cap Roig is also known as El Castellets.

It is now in a protected area. Commercial fishing has been banned recently. It was the site of a sea battle in the Middle ages. Popular for sport fishing or just having a short excursion by boat during the summer. It is a dive site of complicated orography with many gullies ending in cul-de-sacs. By boat from the nearest villages of Calella de Palafrugell or Llafranc. About 1 Km away from the coast. Most diving centres in the area take you there. They are a few rocks standing not more than 10 m over sea level with a small light house. Islas Formigas is also known as Formigas isles.

This is one of the dive wher you can see all Mediteranean Sea kind of fishs, including large shoals of huge groupers ! Tasco Petit is the last small rock located S from Meda Petita. Tasco Petit is also known as Tascons Petits.
