Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Bonnie Bay

A more user-friendly, easy-access park, you'll find Bonnie Bay a quiet dive with wonderful scenery. There are no facilities here, just a nice, grassy trail and park. Drive South on Marine Drive 1.4km from Horseshoe Bay. Turn right, after the Glen Eagles Golf Course, onto Glen Eagles Drive. Stay on the upper road and wind your way 0.6km to the end of the Drive.

A gentle entry awaits you. Parking is found in this circle, next to the tennis courts.

The hike down and the hike up is not a piece of cake! I would say it requires more effort than Whytecliff Bay. However, there are strategically placed benches which provide a great place to take a rest with your double 130's. No facilities, parking was easy.

This site is also called Larsen Bay or Kettle Point. Nice shallow dive. Swim west along the north wall. The hike back to the car in 28 degrees is a real hoot.

I dove this site several times, and have taken students here. For them it seemed a very easy and enjoyable dive. Given the easy access and gradual sloping bottom, it is an overall a good dive for a nubie.
